Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These terms govern services purchased from Sound Rite Ltd (“Sound Rite”, “we”, “us”). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17429322. Our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 5PF. Contact: info@soundrite.co.uk.
1. Our services
We provide acoustic consultancy and noise assessment services, including planning-condition reviews, plant and building-services noise assessments, glazing and ventilation advice, acoustic design support, and site-based surveys. The scope, assumptions, deliverables, timescale and price are those shown on the relevant service page or in our written quotation.
2. Orders and payment
An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing or begin the agreed work. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not receive your full card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any work outside the stated scope—including additional visits, monitoring, redesign or responses to materially changed information—will be quoted separately before it is undertaken.
3. Information and site access
You must provide accurate project information, relevant drawings, planning documents and safe, timely access to the site where required. You must tell us about known hazards, access restrictions and relevant deadlines. Delays or additional work caused by missing or inaccurate information may affect the timetable and price.
4. Surveys and reports
Survey results reflect the conditions, locations, equipment and information available at the time. Our reports are prepared for the named client and stated purpose. Planning decisions, approvals and actions by councils or other third parties remain outside our control, so no approval or particular outcome is guaranteed.
5. Changes and cancellation
Please contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. Consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation right for contracts made online. If you ask us to start during that period and later cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied. Once the service has been fully performed following your express request and acknowledgement, the cancellation right may be lost. Statutory rights are not affected.
6. Appointments and delays
We will use reasonable care to meet agreed dates, but dates are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. We are not responsible for delay caused by unsafe access, severe weather, equipment or utility failure, third-party conduct, or events reasonably outside our control. We will keep you informed and arrange a reasonable alternative where possible.
7. Intellectual property and use
Once all sums are paid, you may use the final report for the project and purpose for which it was commissioned. Our underlying methods, templates, calculations and general know-how remain ours. Reports may not be altered or relied upon for another site or purpose without our written agreement.
8. Liability
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by inaccurate client information, or decisions made by third parties. For business customers, our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected service, except where the law does not permit that limit.
9. Complaints
Please email info@soundrite.co.uk with your order details and concern. We will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data. Our Cookie Policy explains website cookies and consent choices.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory right to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to where they live.
